We are proud to present soldiers of the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment with a package of goods consisting of food and toiletries which
are all sold in our shop. We hope this will enhance their personal welfare as they carry out Nato led operations in Afghanistan.
Stan and Tracey Kay, the owners of You Kay’s in Paphos said “many of our ex-pat customers have relatives and friends serving in
Afghanistan. Indeed we know of grandparents living in Paphos who have a grandson currently serving with the Duke of Lancaster’s
Regiment in Helmend Province. The threat to these young soldiers is very real and indeed the Regiment is at this time mourning the
tragic loss of one of it’s soldiers’ who lost his life recently”.
Since they are the original importers of British Food and Toiletries and have a huge customer base they wanted to also be the first to
give something back to the community that over the past 2 ½ years have supported them so well. Stan said “it is not all about making
money, we feel that this topic is close to our hearts and we are in a position to help.”.
They have pledged to give a goody bag to each and every member of the Regiment between now and the New Year so that whilst on
duty they also have some home comforts.
In order to help those still based in Cyprus they are offering all members of the forces who show their ID a 5% discount on all goods.
